The hospital- located some six miles from the Demilitarized Zone - handles emergency operations and apart from an X-ray machine it also has an analysis laboratory, a pharmacy, three sterilizing units, a blood bank and six wards with a 70-bed capacity. It can be mobilized into an alert convoy within 45 minutes and once in the field can set up within 2 hours, ready to handle emergency surgery.
