Yokota Air Base, Japan, November, 1976: Ten-year-old James Peppler tries out his soap box racer with a little help from friends Al Couvillou, Michael Clement and (clutching an apple as he runs) Andy Barlow. James built the racer from parts he found on scrap piles around the base.
